ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

For me, art is a searching process. Once I am drawn to an image I will begin a lengthy investigation which may take shifting and changing paths. It is this deep exploration which allows me to deal with the complexities of seeing.

I try to invent shapes, rhythmical structures and color conversations which will bring out the poetic rather than the purely literal elements in the subject. And, in this process, I strive to combine personal expression and insight with real observation and abstraction.
